Katie C. is the August Member of the Month

Katie has been with us for a few years now and having her as a consistent presence in our AM classes brings a lot of smiles, laughs and fun regularly. Katie is very well versed in movement, anatomy, and coaching, but she's also a very good listener and implementer (is that a word?) when she receives feedback from a coach, which make for a wonderful coach/athlete relationship and also makes her a very good example for all our athletes, seasoned or new to the box. And to top it all off, she's always happy to be at the gym and be a part of this awesome community, always welcoming and smiling with new friends.

September 2019

What were you doing before for fitness?

I was a member at CrossFit Moxie in San Jose

What was your first workout? First reaction to your first workout?


Deadlifts 55#

Ring Dips with green + blue bands

When I finished I remember thinking "that was awful, when can I do that again?"

What improvements have you seen in the way you look, feel and perform?

I have gained the ability to step into any workout and feel confident in my ability to know what my body can do at that time.

What days and times do you come to Croga?

7AM, sometimes 6AM

What's your favorite WOD?

Grace or Jackie

What's your least favorite WOD?

Mr. Joshua or 400m Burpee Broad Jump

"The Katie" WOD! What would it be?

Something with kettlebells, power cleans, or wallballs

What’s your favorite post-workout routine?

I love the 200m walk that we usually do at the end of class. If I have time a few minutes of stretching is nice too.

What's been your favorite culinary discovery since joining Croga?

Re-discovered Stronger Faster Healthier protein

What's your biggest fitness goal for this year?

Keep a regular workout schedule until baby #2 arrives in January

What do you love about this type of fitness?

I love how each workout is different, but there are many similarities that tie them together. It makes class exciting!

What words of advice do you have for new members or people considering joining Croga?

Try a few classes - the community and coaches make it great!
