Our flagship offering, Croga Fitness, is our 1-hour, well-rounded, fun, and challenging group class. These classes focus on improving:
General Physical Preparedness (GPP): We want you to get better at everything so that you're ready for anything!
Mobility: To keep you feeling good, longer, and make you capable of far more than you can imagine, we need you to improve your flexibility. We'll do some stretching in every class you attend.
Cardio: We're going to make your heart beat and your breathe hard, but as you build your endurance, you'll be amazed at what you can do.
Bodyweight Strength & Endurance: We'll do all kinds of fun and functional bodyweight exercises so you can move your own body with confidence and control.
Core work: The stronger your core, the stronger your entire body. Everything starts here.
Strength: Increasing your strength is key to longevity and capacity. We're not focused on building big muscles (if you want to do that, we can talk about diet), but we do want to make stronger ones.
Workouts can be adjusted in weight, intensity, and certain mechanics to modify to the experience and fitness levels of any individual, be it a total fitness beginner or elite competitive athlete. We have worked with kids as young as six years old, great-grandparents, and everyone in-between.
All of our Croga Fitness Classes are coach-led and follow a planned progression 60 minutes in duration and follow this basic structure:
A certified coach will guide you through warming up (always demonstrating every movement), then mobility/stretching, then movement instruction, then a workout specific warm-up, then a thorough demonstration of the workout, and finally into the workout of the day.
The Coach will always have their full attention on the class, will be interacting with all athletes throughout to make sure they're well informed and comfortable, and will correct or modify movements as necessary.
Safety is our #1 priority at Croga and our coaches pride themselves on staying engaged and keeping the athletes happy and healthy by keeping open lines of communication in each class with each individual athlete.
Working out at the gym isn't easy. But getting there shouldn't be hard. Croga Fitness is located and easily accessible from all of San Jose.
